Overview
Have you ever searched for nutrition a question online, and then all of a sudden posts about that diet are following you everywhere? These are marketing algorithms at work which make it difficult to discern what information can actually be trusted.
In April 2024, Tufts CTSI’s Science Communications team partnered with the Museum of Science, Boston, and popular YouTube creator, Dr. Lara Hyde from Nourishable, to engage the public in sharing how they decide what nutrition information is credible and trustworthy. Building on this information, we co-created a 10-tip video series to help people navigate nutrition information online.
We hope you will view and share these tips widely to empower yourself and others to feel confident in determining what sources of information to rely on.
