October 2025 Meeting Information
At the October QRIG Meeting, we’ll hear from Rose Gunn, MA. Rose is a qualitative research scientist at OCHIN, a health informatics non-profit that serves a national network of community health centers. The presentation will provide an overview of human-centered design approaches that leverage qualitative methods to co-design interventions that prioritize the needs and experiences of care teams, patients, and communities. Topics will cover a brief background of human-centered design, provide a lexicon for commonly used terminology, identify design tools that can be used in conjunction with qualitative methods, and examples of practical applications in a research setting. A large part of the meeting will be devoted to group discussion of lessons learned from previous experiences, challenges, and ideas for future directions
