NIH Acknowledgement and Publication Compliance

Tufts CTSI is funded by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from NIH. Accordingly, anyone whose research is assisted or funded by a CTSI service or program must comply with NIH’s acknowledgement and public access policies.

When and What to Acknowledge

If you received assistance of any kind from Tufts CTSI, please acknowledge our NIH grant in any publication or other document describing the research we supported. This includes:

  • Journal articles and other research publications
  • Poster or oral presentations
  • Press releases, news stories, and blog posts
  • Toolkits, resource guides, or other research products

Examples of Tufts CTSI support to acknowledge include:

  • Awards through one of our project grant programs
  • Fellowship (T) and Career Development (K) awards
  • Research services (e.g., study design and biostatistics, qualitative and mixed methods)
  • Specialized consultations (e.g., dissemination and implementation science, research collaboration, research process improvement, medical device development)
  • Community and stakeholder engagement support
  • Informatics and data resources
  • Use of clinical study facilities and protocol support services

How to properly cite the Tufts CTSA

Please use the following language:
