Steven C. Vlad, MD, PhD

Dr. Vlad is a rheumatologist in the Tufts Division of Rheumatology and an epidemiologist in the Tufts CTSI. He received his MD from the University of Iowa School of Medicine, his rheumatology training at Boston Medical Center, and his PhD in epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health. His research interests include investigating the adverse effects of drugs used for the treatment of rheumatologic diseases, especially glucocorticoids and bisphosphonates; osteoarthritis; chronic soft tissue injuries; and the design of clinical research studies. He also serves as the Director of Study Design at New England Baptist Hospital.
