Ms. Kurtz-Rossi’s research interests include behavioral science and health communication, including: integrating health literacy and cultural humility training into global health workforce development to eliminate health disparities; creating audience-centered health communication using plain language principles to enhance understanding and facilitate action; working with hospitals and health centers to implement the 10 attributes of a health- literate organization to improve health communication and health care quality; and applying adult learning theory to public health practice, online instructional design, and teaching with technology. Ms. Kurtz-Rossi holds an MEd from the Boston University School of Education and an MA from Muhlenberg College.
