Dr. Chin is Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, the Director of the Medical Scientist Training Program at TUSM and the Research Director for the Tufts Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Tufts Medical Center, who still maintains an active clinical practice. In these roles he oversees the recruitment and education of MD-PhD candidates, serves on the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Executive Council, and oversees a translational research program dedicated to multiomic analyses of tissue from patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. His research portfolio also includes the development of an enzyme replacement therapy for Barth Syndrome, a rare inherited disorder of mitochondria, and thus he has extensive experience in bedside to bench and bench to bedside translational research.
