Director of Comparative Effectiveness Research at the Tufts CTSI, Dr. Wong is a Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Since 2013, Dr. Wong has provided research guidance and support to Tufts CTSI clinical researchers. As Interim Chief Scientific Officer and Chief of the Division of Clinical Decision Making at Tufts Medical Center, his research focuses on the application of decision analysis to help patients, clinicians, and policy-makers choose among alternative tests, treatments, and policies. The aim of his research is to promote rational evidence-based efficient and effective patient-centered care. Besides comparative effectiveness research, he has participated in guideline committees, appropriateness of care assessment, quality improvement and performance measure development, and the creation of decision aids for shared decision making. Dr. Wong received his BS from Haverford College, MD from the University of Chicago and medical informatics fellowship training at Tufts Medical Center.
