Hocine Tighiouart, MS

Mr. Tighiouart is a statistical associate in the BERD Center at Tufts CTSI and has a faculty appointment at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He has been a member of the research group since 2000. Mr. Tighiouart provides statistical support for studies investigating associations of risk factors for chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular events. He has expertise in the application of novel statistical methodologies, including discrimination, calibration and net reclassification performance measures for survival models and utilizing competing risk methods for predictive models. He provides support for analyzing longitudinal studies, including studies examining the association between the longitudinal effects of glomerular filtration rate and survival and end stage renal disease and studies examining change in cognitive function in dialysis using the joint models approach. Prior to joining us, Mr. Tighiouart worked as a statistician and SAS programmer on various cardiovascular clinical trials at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Mr. Tighiouart holds a Masters degree in statistics from Florida State University.
