National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps Spark program and the Pitch Lab are collaborating to help innovators prepare compelling pitches to seek funding opportunities and to catch the interest of collaborators. These programs are led by seasoned innovators and will assist researchers in communicating the value of their work with clarity and conviction.

 

Overview

Event 1: NSF I-Corps Spark Program (3-week program)

What to expect:

  • Understand why your innovation has value and identify your audience
  • Guided opportunities to find a market for your innovation
  • Expand your network of like-minded peers, potential customers, and mentors
  • Participate in discovery exercises about your innovation with potential users

Event 2: Pitch Lab (two-part workshop)

#1: Refinement Workshop

What to expect:

  • Understand key elements of a successful pitch
  • Develop a strong narrative using storytelling
  • Refine your pitch to result in a compelling delivery

Date: Monday, December 15, 5:00PM-7:00PM

Location: Virtual

 

#2: Pitch Practice Workshop

What to expect:

  • Articulate the value of and audience for your innovation
  • Receive feedback on pitch content, structure, and delivery
  • Build confidence in communicating the impact of your work

Date: Wednesday, January 14, 5:00PM-7:00PM

Location: In person / Tufts CTSI, 35 Kneeland St., 8th Floor Conference Room

NSF I-Corps Spark and the Pitch Lab programs are FREE and open to all and are strongly recommended to those intending to apply to pitch their research project at the Impact Launchpad.
