Interested in getting help with your REDCap projects? Tufts CTSI now offers free REDCap Drop-In Sessions on Tuesdays from 10:00AM-noon. Sessions are 30 minutes long and are available to all staff and faculty at Tufts CTSI partner and collaborator organizations.

Schedule a drop-in session to discuss any aspect of REDCap that requires expert advice, such as requesting a feature demonstration, making small modifications to a database, or discussing the pros and cons of different database setups. Drop-in sessions are private, so you can discuss real projects and data; they can be either one-on-one or include multiple members of your study team.

Do you need help fine-tuning a patient cohort definition? Are you looking to expand your research dataset chart abstraction? Are you working with an OMOP Common Data Model and want to learn about the available tools?

The new Tufts CTSI Research Data Request Virtual Drop-in Sessions are a great way to consult with informaticians who can help you work through these problems as you plan to develop a robust dataset for your research project. We’re happy to welcome researchers at all Tufts Medicine-affiliated institutions, as well as Tufts University fellows, residents, and students.

This is a great resource for researchers who have specific questions, or just want to learn more about our Research Data Request services.

Drop-in sessions are offered on Mondays. Registration is required.

On Monday, September 21 at 2:00PM, join Benjamin Wessler, MD, MS, Cardiologist and Tufts CTSI Lead Navigator, for an overview of Tufts CTSI’s services, resources, and expert consultations available to support clinical and translational research. Attendees will learn how Tufts CTSI can help researchers at every stage of the research process through study design and analysis support, regulatory guidance, clinical trial resources, informatics services, collaborator connections, training opportunities, and more.

You’re invited to attend the Biomedical and Health Data Sciences Collaborative’s (BHDSC) September 2026 Seminar on Wednesday, September 23 at 2:00PM.

Dr. Owais Gilani will present “DSVI: A Mobility Adjusted Dynamic Social Vulnerability Index.” Dr. Gilani is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. His research focuses on methodological development in spatial and spatiotemporal statistics (e.g., air pollution modeling) with applications in environmental epidemiology.
