Dr. Dad is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a member of the Division of Nephrology at Tufts Medical Center. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Biology from Brandeis University and completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident. Following this he completed his clinical and research training in Nephrology also at Tufts Medical Center during which he received a Master of Science degree in Clinical and Translational Research from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University.

Dr. Dad’s research focuses on quality metrics used to evaluate performance in hemodialysis in the United States and specifically on the assessment of patient experience. Working with patient experience survey data from a nationally implemented survey in hemodialysis (ICH CAHPS survey) his group evaluated survey non-response and characteristics associated with better experience. He is currently working on survey psychometric evaluation along with qualitative evaluation by patients with kidney disease.
