The widespread adoption of evidence-based interventions in clinical settings can be impeded by gaps in sustaining their effectiveness. In this presentation, Dr. Yao Liu will discuss methods used to develop a stakeholder-based implementation program to sustain the effectiveness of telemedicine-based diabetic eye screening in rural primary care clinics.

You’re invited to attend the Biomedical and Health Data Sciences Collaborative’s (BHDSC) February 2026 Seminar (“Transparency and Workflow Validation in Data Harmonization: A Two-Cohort Diabetes Case Study”) on Wednesday, February 25 at 2:00PM.
Rebecca Batorsky, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist at the Tufts Institute for Artificial Intelligence (TIAI) with expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and the analysis of complex biomedical and clinical datasets. Her work focuses on developing reproducible, transparent computational approaches and integrating diverse data types to support robust inference and data-driven discovery in health research.
Andreia Martinho, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Dcholar at the Tufts Institute for Artificial Intelligence (TIAI), where she works on data science projects with a strong normative focus. She earned her PhD in Applied Ethics from TU Delft in the Netherlands, where she conducted empirical research in AI ethics.
